Relay For Life Turnout at OSU

This was an annual event that took place in the Memorial Union Quad. It was a 14-hour event that lasted through Friday night into Saturday morning. The turnout was great and there were a lot of booths and tents set up to celebrate the lives of people who have died, beat, and who are still fighting cancer.

Relay for Life is in it's third year at OSU. The money raised from this event goes to the American Cancer Society. During this event you can sign up to walk around the MU and each lap is sponsored so you are raising money while you walk. There was also a live band playing most of the night and other activities going on around the quad.

This event definitely hit home for me since my sister had non-Hodgkins lymphoma which she eventually beat after a long hard fought battle. This event definitely raises awareness and demonstrates to others who are not so aware about how many people are actually affected by cancer.

The OSU MU Cam picked up the whole event and is sped up so you can see how it turned out. This is a really cool video so I recommend you take a look.

Thanks for reading,
